Thomas Morey’s wines are always clean, precise, and elegant. The 2024 vintage is an excellent showcase for his style, with finished wines that are fine examples of what Jasper Morris MW admiringly describes as the “chiselled Thomas Morey style.”

The 2024 Bâtard-Montrachet combines immediate weight of fruit with Thomas Morey’s characteristically restrained style. An intense linear backbone supports fruit that has barely begun to unfold, with citrus notes of lime carrying through a long, refreshing finish. Thomas himself prefers to drink his Bâtard after seven to ten years, and the 2024 has all the intensity and structure to reward that patience.
