Bohrmann St-Aubin rouge 18
Bohrmann doesn’t sound very French, and it isn’t — Sofie Borhmann is Belgian, and splits her time between Belgium and Burgundy. We’re not sure where she’s been hiding, or why no other American importers have found her. But her wines simply blew us away.
The fruit is like that of the Bourgogne rouge but there’s considerably more substance, depth and intensity that will serve the wine well. The nose is perfumed and smoky, with gorgeous floral notes; the mouth is very fine, with chalky tannins and a really attractive texture.
