Domaine Dumien Serrette is a tiny, fifth-generation estate in Cornas, where Nicolas Serrette farms just four acres of vines. His wines are consistently dense and structured in their youth, evolving into remarkably complex and memorable expressions of Syrah with time in the bottle.

Patou comes from 80-plus-year-old vines in the eponymous vineyard and is always dense and compact in its youth, unfurling slowly over its first years in bottle. Beneath the ripe, dark structure lie layers of blackberry fruit, spice, earth, meat, leather, and eventually floral notes of violet. The 2024 will reward patience, offering a master class in the effect of time in the bottle over the next decade.
