Morey Chassagne-Montrachet 1er “Embrazées” 2024

Thomas Morey’s wines are always clean, precise, and elegant. The 2024 vintage is an excellent showcase for his style, with finished wines that are fine examples of what Jasper Morris MW admiringly describes as the “chiselled Thomas Morey style.”

Thomas’s grandfather reclaimed the Embrazées vineyard after the phylloxera epidemic of the late nineteenth century, and the old vines have produced a wine of excellent richness and exceptional balance in 2024. Ripe apples, floral notes, and beautifully balanced acidity lead into a long finish. Though you won’t have to wait decades to enjoy it, the 2024 Embrazées has many years of fine drinking ahead.
