Picamelot Crémant “Reipes” NV


These sparkling wines are not Champagne, though the methods are exactly the same. Different geography requires a different label, but at Picamelot they have embraced the notion, making wines that are intended to express the terroir of Burgundy.

Reipes from a single parcel of Chardonnay, right next to Chazot above the town of St. Aubin. Les Reipes is softer and rounder in the mouth than the Chazot, more about its fruit and offering a pleasant, clean finish. Look for citrus in the mouth and some white flowers in the nose. This one should go particularly well with food.
