At a few dollars less than the Bourgogne, the Aligoté is also very attractive in 2019. It has the grape’s characteristic freshness (which helps it marry nicely with Crême de Cassis in a kir), but there’s nothing harsh about the acidity. The fruit dominates this wine, and there’s more body than shows up in most Aligoté.
